If the alleged father and the child do not match, the results will state that the tested man is excluded as the biological father of the child with the probability of paternity being 0%. This means that there is a 0% chance that the tested man is the biological father of the child. If the alleged father and child do match, the results will state that the tested man is not excluded as the biological father of the child with a probability of paternity of 99% or higher. This means that the probability that the tested man is the biological father of the child is at least 99%. Courts recognize 99% as a positive proof of paternity.
